Geno Smith and the Seahawks ride their pass-happy offense to the NFC West cellar

Geno Smith entered the week as the NFL leader in pass attempts
NOVEMBER 4 • ASSOCIATED PRESS
Tyler Lockett - Scores in OT loss Lockett caught three of four targets for 63 yards and a touchdown in Sunday's 26-20 overtime loss to the Rams.
Impact Lockett got the start in place of DK Metcalf (knee) and wound up catching his fourth touchdown of the season. The veteran receiver has posted a 64-631-4 receiving line through eight games as Seattle enters its bye week. Lockett has produced two strong fantasy games in place of the injured Metcalf, but the Seahawks' No. 1 wideout could return after the team's bye, so Lockett's could take a slight hit against the 49ers on Nov. 17.

Kenneth Walker III - Combines to go over century mark Walker rushed 25 times for 83 yards and caught all three of his targets for 25 yards in Sunday's 26-20 overtime loss to the Rams.
Impact Walker combined to go for over 100 yards, but he required 28 touches to reach that mark. Seattle's workhorse continues to dominate the backfield touches despite struggling on a per-carry basis in recent weeks. Walker remains a strong fantasy play despite his recent shortcomings as the Seahawks enter the bye week. Seattle will resume play against the 49ers on Nov. 17.

Jaxon Smith-Njigba - Monstrous output in loss Smith-Njigba finished with seven receptions (13 targets) for 180 yards and two touchdowns in Sunday's 26-20 overtime loss to the Rams.
Impact Smith-Njigba produced his finest stat line as a pro despite his team taking the loss Sunday. It was the sophomore's first game with two touchdowns while recording over 100 receiving yards. Smith-Njigba will enter Seattle's bye week with a respectable 50-568-3 receiving line across nine games, setting up a Nov. 17 matchup against San Francisco in Week 11.

Geno Smith - Fills box score in OT loss Smith completed 21 of 34 pass attempts for 363 yards, three touchdowns and three interceptions in Sunday's 26-20 overtime loss to the Rams.
Impact Smith also rushed six times for 16 yards, but his significant fantasy impact was made on his passing totals. The veteran QB threw for three touchdowns for the first time this season, but he also chucked a trio of interceptions in the overtime loss. Smith is averaging a healthy 284.4 yards per game if he can ever improve on his 11:10 TD:INT ratio. Seattle will enter its bye in Week 10, with the team returning to action Nov. 17 against the 49ers.

George Fant - Unlikely to return Sunday Fant (knee) is doubtful to return to the Sunday's contest against the Rams.
Impact Fant suffered a knee injury in the first half versus Los Angeles, which now appears to be severe enough to bring his day to an end. In his absence, Michael Jerrell will handle the right tackle spot.

Ernest Jones - Active to face Los Angeles Jones (neck) is active for Sunday's game against the Rams, John Boyle of the Seahawks' official site reports.
Impact Jones was listed as questionable but is cleared to play and face his former team. The veteran linebacker was traded by the Rams to the Titans just ahead of Week 1, but Tennessee then flipped him to Seattle before Week 8. Jones logged 15 tackles (seven solo) in his Seahawks debut last Sunday.

George Fant - Activated off IR The Seahawks activated Fant (knee) from injured reserve Saturday, John Boyle of the team's official site reports.
Impact Fant was placed on IR in September after suffering a knee injury in Week 1 against Denver. His 21-day practice window opened Oct. 23, and he was able to log a full practice Friday. Fant could start at right tackle Sunday against the Rams unless the Seahawks opt to stick with rookie Michael Jerrell.
NOVEMBER 3 • ROTOWIRE
Cameron Young - Placed on IR with knee injury The Seahawks placed Young (knee) on injured reserve Saturday, John Boyle of the team's official site reports.
Impact Young was on IR for the first five games of the regular season due to a knee injury. He returned for Week 6 against the 49ers, but he aggravated the issue in that contest and was forced to sit for the following two games. The injury is severe enough to warrant a second stint on the IR, and Young will be forced to sit for at least the next four regular-season games. The earliest he can return will be Week 14 against the Cardinals on Sunday, Dec. 8.
NOVEMBER 3 • ROTOWIRE
Cody White - Elevated ahead of Week 9 contest The Seahawks elevated White from their practice squad Saturday, John Boyle of the team's official site reports.
Impact If he's active Sunday, White will suit up for the first time since he played in one game for the Steelers in 2022. The 25-year-old spent part of last year on Seattle's practice squad but didn't get elevated at any point. White's elevation this weekend is tied to DK Metcalf being sidelined due to a knee injury.

Nehemiah Pritchett - Ready to go for Week 9 Pritchett (ankle) does not carry an injury designation into Sunday's matchup with the Rams, Bob Condotta of The Seattle Times reports.
Impact Princhett will make his return to the field in Week 9 after missing the team's loss to the Bills in Week 8 with an ankle injury. The 23-year-old will be back in his role as a depth option behind Riq Woolen and Tre Brown at cornerback against Los Angeles.
NOVEMBER 2 • ROTOWIRE
Cameron Young - Ruled out for Week 9 Young (knee) has been ruled out for Sunday's contest against the Rams, Bob Condotta of The Seattle Times reprorts.
Impact Young will be forced to miss another contest in Week 9 as he continues to nurse a knee issue. He will now shift his focus to being ready for Seattle's next contest in Week 11 against the 49ers on Nov. 17. In the meantime, Byron Murphy and Roy Robertson-Harris will operate in larger roles on the defensive line versus Los Angeles on Sunday.
NOVEMBER 2 • ROTOWIRE
Abraham Lucas - Unavailable for Week 9 Lucas (knee) has been ruled out for Sunday's contest against the Rams, Bob Condotta of The Seattle Times reports.
Impact Lucas will remain on the reserve/PUP list for at least one more week as he continues to recover from a knee issue. His next chance to return to the field will come in Week 11 against the 49ers on Nov. 17.
